The Context

Where the operation was, before us.

The client orchestrates a six-continent logistics operation across road, rail and air. Their floor ran on twelve glass dashboards, each correct, none coherent.

When an exception happened — and one happens roughly every 12 seconds — operators had to mentally compose state from those twelve sources before deciding anything.

We were asked to design a single surface that operators could trust at a glance, without asking them to abandon the systems they already relied on.

The Approach

What we built, and why it had to be built that way.

Rather than replace the twelve systems, we composed them into a calm digital twin — one canvas, one shared vocabulary, twelve invisible feeds.

Unified twin

A semantic layer normalizes the twelve operational systems into one queryable model — without forcing any of them to change.

Cognitive-load metric

We instrument operator saccades and dwell time, then iterate the surface against measurable cognitive cost — not on opinion.

Quiet automation

Ninety percent of exceptions auto-resolve below the operator's attention floor; the floor only ever sees what genuinely needs a human.

The Outcome

Measured against the hard numbers, not the hype.

I used to spend the first hour of every shift assembling the picture. Now the picture is just there, and I spend that hour on the calls that actually matter.
